Last Weekend and Future Workshops
I'm finally getting around to report on the workshop over the weekend. I just love getting to meet and work alongside new friends! We had class in the Germaine Building at the Art & History Museum of Maitland which is about to undergo a great makeover. To celebrate, they had a party the night before and invited everyone to draw on the walls. They also invited us to do our thing. I've never been asked to do mixed media graffiti before! Fun! Bonny, Rya and Earl, I hope we get to do it again sometime!
Which brings me to the next order of business. I have a new class and new workshops on the schedule!
Learn the joys of mixed media collage. The workshop will address working with papers, fabrics, found objects, and past art work. The materials used will be the choice of each student, but students are encouraged to incorporate some of their own prior art work into new pieces. The objective of the workshop is to explore new mixed media techniques and excavate each student’s authentic voice in their art.
