Here are a couple of pieces that I started at my workshop at The Pottery Studio in Orlando. I just finished them today in my studio. In class, we were playing with doing both faces and landscapes on mixed media collage. I also took some photos of the class working easy and playing hard. I can't wait to see what happens!!
What does perfect health mean to you?
Perfect Health to me means being aware of how I treat and honor my body everyday. It means paying attention to what goes in and what energy goes out. It means questioning my thoughts and taking time to honor my spirit with stillness. Complete homage to my mind, body and soul.
I am doing the 21 Day Meditation Challenge with Oprah and Deepak. Come join the group!

The Power of Our Grandmothers
The Power of Our Grandmothers , 72" x 72" (on 4- 36" x 36" panels)
This painting was stolen from Studio E Gallery in Palm Beach Gardens in 2006. I will offer an award to anyone who knows where it is located or finds prints of the piece. Thank you!
Forgiveness
Forgiveness, 48" x 60"
I own the copyright for this image of my painting, Forgiveness, since I painted it in 2001. You can purchase a print of it here at my Etsy Shop. Obviously, the print comes without the lovely watermark! I have placed this watermark on this image because this image has gone viral around the globe. Many many people are using my image without permission, without compensating me for the use and without even crediting me- to promote their own businesses and projects. That is against the law!! Please respect the talents and livelihoods of artists and photographers by asking for permission to use their art and respecting their pricing if you plan on using it to promote yourself, your work or your livelihood! Good Karma will follow you and your business if you do.
Studio surprises
Well the little elves didn't come in and clean up the place, but they do leave great little gems...
There Will Be Time
I've been reading this lovely poem since they were babies. Still rings true for me.
There is time still for sitting in cafes in Paris sipping wine.
Time still for going to meet the guru.
There is time still.
Now I am caring for eternity.
Carrying bodies soft with sleep to beds of flowered quilts and pillows.
Answering cries deep out of nighttime fears.
Buckling shoes.
Opening doors.
Pretending.
My soul now is dwelling in the house of tomorrow.
Tomorrow there will be time for long leisurely conversations, for poems to write, and dances to perform.
Time still.
So I surrender now to them and this, knowing it is they who will teach me how to do it all.

McRae Art Studios Opening
In 1996, I was a scenic artist looking for a space to work on my painting. I applied for a space at McRae on the Lake in Orlando. In actuality, what I got was a group of friends that helped both my art and my career grow. When we moved to the current McRae Art Studios in 1998, I put my proverbial neck on the chopping block, being one of the few artists to sign the lease for the whole magilla. In return, I got to pick the great space in the front and built my new studio, 2 x 4s, electrical and all, with my own 2 hands. I went from a fledgling artist, to a full time, award winning, traveling all over the place artist. So much of my journey had to do with working at McRae and interacting daily with the incredible artists that have graced those walls over the years. In 2006, with a 1 year old, another on the way and a 1 hour commute from Mount Dora, I sadly gave up my precious space. I love my studio that I built at home and the commute from one room to the next, but I do miss the camaraderie, the fun and crazy people, their artistic adventures and yes even the sounds of Foosball.
So it is with tons of joy and gratitude, that I am writing to announce that I will be the guest artist at the next McRae Opening on April 6! I'm so glad you guys started having guest artists! I'm looking forward to taking over a corner for a night and hearing the bands play on.
