I am so lucky. And blessed. I came off of my experience as a student of Mary Whyte and got to teach a class of 12 that included 5 teachers and a room of brave and amazingly sweet ladies. I just love watching people feel the fear and doing it anyways! Such great things happen. And inevitably, every piece comes out so differently and individually. Well done ladies! Thank you Sharon for your hospitality and all of you for the Thank You card. I can't wait to paint with you all again! Send me your photos of your pieces that you finish later. I want to see!

I had the extreme pleasure of actually taking a class with the fabulous Mary Whyte last week. I had a great time working in watercolor (which I only dabble in) and for first the first time, I did watercolors upright on an easel with life models. I had a blast and learned so much.

I am thinking about her teaching this morning as a prepare to go downstairs and teach Day 2 of my workshop in Spring Hill. "Am I being true to my style?" she asked us. "Are you thinking in shapes, values, color and edges...not inventory?" Beautiful. I am so jazzed.

Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts

I have 5 pieces of art hanging at the Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts which is part venue, part recording studio, and part art gallery. Located at 1905 Kentucky Ave in Winter Park, FL, this unique new space offers live performances most evenings, state of the art recording equipment, and gallery space. Island Art Workshop

Loved teaching at the Island Art Association this past weekend in Fernandina Beach! I was super proud of you ladies and all the creations that were made and started. I was so excited during the critique that I totally didn't take enough photos! Here's a few that I got. I can't wait to come back next fall/winter and do another workshop.
